The Northern Lights is a book about an 11 year old girls journy to the north to find her best friend and to free her uncle. This book is highly entertaining, it has lots of plot turns and interesting characters. My favourite character was Iorek Byrnison, because he brought a dark element to the book. My favourite part of the book was when Iorek fought Iofur Raknison. An interesting thing that happend was when Lyra found out that Ms Coulter is her mother and that Lord Asriel is her father. I would strongly recomend this book for anyone looking for a good read and all people my age.
